Surat Textile Bodies Appeal for Removal of QCO for BIS Certification on Polyester Yarn
Surat, known as the textile hub of India, is witnessing an appeal from various industry associations, including the Federation of Indian Art Silk Weaving Industry (FIASWI), requesting the government to eliminate the Quality Control Orders (QCO) associated with Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification for polyester yarn.These industry bodies are calling for the removal of these orders, which are slated to come into effect on July 3, 2023.
